Suzuki reveals new off-road training centre in Wales
Suzuki has revealed details about its brand-new off-road training centre in Wales.

Suzuki has confirmed more details of its brand-new off-road motorcycle training centre, based near Merthyr Tydfil in Wales.
The new training centre has been launched together with the SR75 Suzuki Racing Team, which is operated by industry stalwart Geoff Walker. The off-road school will offer a fleet of machines for riders of all levels and abilities to learn on.
That includes motorcycles such as Suzuki’s V-Strom 800DE and V-Strom 1050DE, as well as the newly-launched DR-Z4S.

The training centre is based near the Monster Mountain motocross track, and it has access to over 300 acres of trails.
Some of the trails vary in complexity, according to Suzuki UK, whether they be wide, flat, or shale fire roads, to more technical, single-track trails.
Guests will be instructed on everything from body positioning, throttle control and braking, to more advanced skills and how to tackle more challenging terrain.
Suzuki also says the new training centre will focus on running smaller groups instead of large ones, which should allow for better training and learning. It says there will be “a ratio of no more than three riders to one instructor and no more than six riders in a group in total”.

Walker has over 30 years of experience teaching people how to ride off-road, and he will be joined by a highly skilled team.
Speaking about the new training centre, Suzuki GB motorcycle marketing manager, Jak Tyrrell, said:
“We’re pleased to be launching a new Suzuki off-road training school, and we’re delighted to be doing so in conjunction with Geoff Walker and the SR75 team. There aren’t many people in the off-road world with the same levels of experience when it comes to rider tuition, and as well as that experience he also brings an incredible amount of care, dedication, and professionalism to the centre. It’s an exciting time and we can’t wait to see riders of all levels of ability learning to ride with more confidence off-road on Suzuki products next year.”
A full day, which includes hiring a V-Strom or DR-Z4S motorcycle, all fuel and maintenance, refreshments including teas, coffees, water, and snacks, starts at £300 per person.
