Superbike Advocates team boss reveals personal Ducati collection full of icons

Superbike Advocates team boss Lee Khouri has revealed just how extensive his personal motorcycle collection is, which is full of iconic Ducati bikes including a 916 Foggy Edition. 

The thing is, there’s much more to this collection the deeper you look, as Khouri does not just have one bike from several different model types. In some cases he’s doubled, and even tripled down by getting three of the same bike. 

Building the collection started off with buying new bikes shortly after their release, before Khouri decided he needed classic models as well. That’s where bikes like the 916 Foggy Edition come into play, as well as some of his other models including the 996, 998, and the triple nine sportbikes. And it’s these bikes that Khouri has two or three of each. 

The collection is something that most people could only dream of owning, and features a plethora of 916 models, which still remains one of Ducati’s most iconic motorcycles produced to this day.

Khouri, who also has a long-standing interest in Italian four-wheelers, discussed his personal collection as part of an interview with Ducati, saying: 

“I love Italian automobiles, so Ferraris, Lamborghinis, anything Italian, but also motorcycles. So, I obviously love Ducati. I first laid eyes on a 1098 S, brand new at the time. I ordered it brand new and had just got my bike license. As soon as I jumped on that, well that was it. I had the bug. Then I wanted a 1098 R, then the Desmosedici came out. Then I just kept climbing, buying all the latest. 

“Then about maybe ten or eight years ago I went back and said, no I need all the classic models, all the early stuff. I ended up buying every 916, you know the 996, 998, then the triple nine. I've got every one of them, but I don't have just one, I've got two or three off each. Like the old 916 Foggy Edition, I have three of those. Three Supermonos. I ended up buying all the old models, whatever I could get, like the 888 A, all of them.”

You might be thinking where could someone keep all of these bikes, and in the case of one particular model, in his own home. Khouri added:  

“So, I kept going older, older, until I have most of them. It's a bug. But they look so pretty, right? They look like artwork. I've got a MH900e sat downstairs in my own living space at home, and it just looks really good. It was remarkable at the time where Ducati had it as an online order. I didn't order it; I was too young and was still in school as a kid. But people ordered them straight off the internet. Apparently, they sold out within an hour, via dial up internet. Crazy!”

For those who might not know much about Khouri, the Australian is the current team owner of the Superbike Advocates race team which made a late decision to switch from BSB to WorldSBK for the 2026 campaign, a decision which has proved successful as Tommy Bridewell has been a consistent challenger for top ten results for most of 2026.
