Insta360 upgrades flagship X5 camera, with motorcyclists set to benefit
Motorcycle riders can now benefit from the latest edition Insta360 X5, which features an immersive shake stabilisation upgrade, and more.

Insta360 has given its flagship X5 a new update for the summer as motorcycle riders can now benefit from an upgraded immersive shake stabilisation feature.
The clever system allows enough natural shake and tilt in your footage to authentically convey speed and terrain, according to Insta360. The enhancements should offer smoother and more watchable footage.
There’s also an updated Sena headset integration function, meaning start/stop recording and voice commands are now compatible with Sena helmet systems. It is said to offer a completely hands-free experience.
It can also record live conversations with other riders via the group intercom and overlay on the footage that’s being recorded at the same time.
Another update is that the X5 can automatically obscure your license plate, which can be done in just a few steps - no manual editing is now required.
While the updates listed above are tweaks to the X5, there is a completely new function that has been added specifically with motorcyclists in mind, which is the all-in-one-GPS-mount.
The new GPS Preview Remote features a built-in mic that now combines four essential tools. They are camera control, live preview, GPS data recording, and a noise-cancelling microphone.
The new updates follow on from the company’s partnership with BMW which produced an all-new X5 Motorrad edition. Included as part of that package is a Mini Remote to control the camera without moving your hands off the handlebars. It also houses an Ultra Battery that’s pre-installed to power through longer rides.
You can find more about the changes on the official Insta360 website.
