Save big on this brand-new 2024 Kawasaki Z 7 Hybrid
A new 2024 Kawasaki Z 7 Hybrid is nearly half price, thanks to a deal from Wheels Motorcycles.
This brand-new Kawasaki Z 7 Hybrid is available for just £6,695 as part of a clearance offer from Peterborough-based dealer Wheels Motorcycles.
A total of £5,254 has been cut from the model’s original price of £11,949, but interestingly, the UK dealer is not the only one running an offer like this. Kawasaki is also offering a big discount on its Z 7 model, dropping the price down to £7,499.
The 2024 model uses the same 451cc twin-cylinder engine and 9kW traction motor combination that’s also housed in its Ninja 7 Hybrid sibling. That means the Z 7 Hybrid produces the same maximum power of 68bhp and 44.5 Ib ft of torque as its fully-faired counterpart. The steel trellis frame was also carried over from the Ninja 7 to the Z 7.
The bike offers up to 12km (around 7.4 miles) of electric-only performance before the internal combustion engine (ICE) takes over to charge the battery. The Z 7’s ‘Eco-Hybrid’ mode allows the rider to select either manual or automatic gearshifts. Manual shifting is operated by a switch on the left side of the handlebar, which has no clutch lever.
As is again the case with the Ninja 7, the Z 7 also features a ‘walk mode’ which assists in manoeuvring the bike. When the system is engaged, it opens the throttle and moves the bike forward at walking speed. If you close the throttle hard to the stop, it then moves the bike in reverse.
The bike features a 4.3-inch all-digital TFT colour dash, while LED lighting powers the headlight and taillight. As well as Eco-Hybrid, the Z 7 comprises a Sport-Hybrid mode and a low-speed short-distance EV function. When using the Eco-Hybrid mode, the engine will automatically turn off to conserve fuel thanks to its idling stop technology.
