Introduced in 2016, the ‘Himmy’ has become one of the company’s most iconic models in the last decade. And its latest sales figures seem to demonstrate that.

The Himalayan adventure bike also marked Royal Enfield’s entry into the 400cc segment, which saw the arrival of the Guerrilla 450 in recent times.

A new Himalayan 450 was launched in 2023 with the bike gaining more power and torque over the previous model, before Royal Enfield unveiled an all-new Himalayan Mana Black edition at the 2025 EICMA show in Milan, Italy.

Inspired by the Mana Pass, which connects India and Tibet, the new Mana Black variant features the same liquid-cooled single-cylinder Sherpa engine that’s housed by the standard model.

In terms of the numbers, the Himalayan 450 sold a total of 9,600 units in 2023, before reaching global sales of more than 38,000 units in the last year. The annual sales growth of over 53 per cent excludes Himalayan 450 sales in India, according to Royal Enfield.

The company also says that the Himalayan 450 has emerged as the “best-selling adventure motorcycle in its class” in Brazil.

In the last year the Himmy 450 has also been used in partnership with the British Army, while it has also tasted off-road racing success in the UK, with the bike winning the singles class at the Valleys X-Treme Lite earlier this year.
