APRILIA have revealed that they will be returning to their traditional black and red colours for the 2012 World Superbike season.

The new - but old - look RSV4 was unveiled in Milan and will be contested in the 2012 by Max Biaggi and new team-mate Eugene Laverty.

Alitalia were expected to be missing from the fairings after being absent from the rider/team entry list for 2012, instead Aprilia will revisit the corporate colourscheme that coated the RSV4 in the Italian manufacturers return to the WSB series back in 2009.

Aprilia and Biaggi come into the 2012 season after losing both the rider and manufacturer championships to Carlos Checa and Ducati last season.
