Rossi linked to Massa Ferrari drive
MotoGP Champion admits he WAS in discussions over F1 drive
REIGNING MOTOGP World Champion Valentino Rossi was on Ferrari’s list as a replacement driver for the injured Felipe Massa for the Italian GP at Monza.
Rossi spoke about the link, saying: “I spoke with Domenicali, but there are two problems. One is the neck – I am not sure if I am strong enough to finish the race. The other is that I am fighting for the MotoGP championship, and there is already a big stress.”
Michael Schumacher, who was set to replace Massa at Ferrari for the rest of the season, had to put his comeback on hold after the German found problems with his neck following a pre-season motorcycle crash, while testing at Cartagena.
So, do you still doubt Rossi will move to F1 in 2011? It's going to happen, folks. Believe it.
