RIGHT now in the UK, the sun is shining and for most of us, the weather is ideal for nipping out for a ride.

Sadly though, restrictions on non-essential travel mean the closest most of us will get to a proper ride is a quick nip to the shops for some essential supplies.

One thing we can do during this time is sit at our laptops and phones and spend the money we would be spending on fuel, trackdays and pints down the pub on motorcycle kit and tech – and it’s actually almost as much fun!

With that in mind, fans of the Arai RX-7 might now have something they want to stick in their shopping basket for when the road-riding and track season begins again.

The product is an aerodynamic spoiler that slots onto the rear of the RX-7, improving the look and aerodynamic drag of the helmet when ridden at speed.

MotoGP rider and LCR Honda teammate to Cal Crutchlow, Taka Nakagami has been putting the new fin through its paces prior to the championship being put on the back burner.

He said:

“MotoGP reaching over 350km / h. Since using this racing spoiler, my head shake has been significantly reduced, which allows me to focus more on the race. Also, the top speed is higher than before and the effect is great! And this spoiler will be very stylish, so I recommend it to everyone.”

The spoiler is available in light smoke colour, white, black glass, white glass, black, and flat black, with the price in Japan starting at 4400 yen (around £33) and rising to 5500 yen (around £41), although there is no official release date set for the UK.
