Phoenix Motorcycle Training has announced a new initiative that is set to feature at two major UK events this summer, including this month’s ABR festival.

People attending the ABR festival (26-28 June) and Heritage Sprint (8-9 August) events will be offered the chance to participate in trail riding sessions for free, as well as receiving professional coaching from Phoenix Trails coaches, all of which is included in the event ticket price.

Phoenix Trails currently offers trail riding experiences in Salisbury Plain, the Peak District, the West Pennines and Kent at a price of £299, which covers a full day of riding. The taster sessions will only be offered at the above-mentioned events, and will feature green lane riding.

The sessions will be especially useful for first time trail riders, and will cover the basic skills needed to control motorcycles on loose surfaces. Additionally, the team of coaches will be on hand to discuss all aspects of trail riding, including legal areas you are allowed to ride on, the necessary kit for trail riding, and advice on which motorcycles to use.

At the Heritage Sprint event, Phoenix is set to team up with Claire Jones and hold workshops on the psychology of riding. This is included as a freebie for those purchasing event tickets. Phoenix Motorcycle Training says the partnership will “offer great insights into how to overcome psychological barriers to your riding”.

The ABR festival will take place at Ragley Hall, Warwickshire, on 26–28 June, with the Heritage Sprint taking place at Betteshanger Park, Kent, on 8–9 August.
