Not for the first time QJMotor appears to have taken inspiration from another brand, with the Chinese company looking set to introduce its first full-dress tourer.

QJMotor’s rise in recent years has been astronomical, and it now has more than 130 models in its line-up which includes a mixture of motorcycles and scooters.

As part of said line-up QJMotor has everything from superbikes to adventure models, naked style bikes, and a wide selection of scooters, not to mention the five three-wheelers in its range.

But something has been missing which is a tourer, although this particular model which is based on Indian Motorcycles’ Roadmaster, will have a sub-400cc engine. Its power unit is also expected to feature a V-twin configuration.

New bikes from the Chinese company appear regularly in different markets and this tourer could not only be the first of its kind, but it could also lead to larger capacity models from the manufacturer in the future.

We know it's been type-approved over in China, but the 385cc bike is expected to fit into the current SRV range. Reports claim it will comprise a DOHC four-valve-per-cylinder V-twin engine, feature an upside-down fork, and meet the latest Euro 5+ emission regulations which would make it a candidate to be sold globally.

According to the type-approval documents the new bike, which apparently could be named SRV400VT,  is expected to reach a top speed of 93mph.

While it’s hard to say how popular a sub-400cc tourer would be in the UK, the introduction of a bigger, and more traditional tourer from QJMotor could soon follow which would make plenty more sense.
