APRILIA has just dropped the official reveal video of the much-talked-about Tuono 660 naked middleweight motorcycle.

As the official launch of the new Aprilia Tuono edges ever closer, the steady drip of teasers and information gradually increases. We may already know a great deal about the basics of the bike, as it is so closely related to the RS660 we rode last year, but there are bound to be subtle nuances differentiating the two models.

Sadly, we will still have to wait a little longer for those, although to get an idea of the styling of the bikes, Aprilia has just thrown us this rather flash-looking promo video.

And before you say it, yes, we know. It’s not being ridden and we can’t hear the engine. That’s a shame of epic proportions. But still, on-screen at least, this thing looks like it's going to be a laugh a minute out on the open road.

What do we know about the Aprilia Tuono 660?

The little Aprilia comes in at £9,700, making it one of the most expensive bikes in the middleweight/A2 compatible class. That said, the toys you get on this thing, in this segment, they’re as rare as rocking horse sh… you get the picture.

Beneath the skin, the bike is fairly similar to the RS, although changes have been made to make the bike feel more rapid from the off. A change to gearing should help at the lights, and the rest of the 95bhp machine is thought to be much the same as before.
