Triumph tease a new Tiger 900 model

Triumph have released a teaser video showing an incoming adventure machine in the form of the Tiger 900 Rally and GT

triumph teaser.

THE first clip released is the most teasing of all teasers today, as the clip seems to show the newly revised front end of the firm’s mid-weight adventure machine, the Tiger 900. The second shows the new machine being ridden in both the urban jungle and the wilderness.

With the news that Triumph is releasing a Rally and GT version, it’d be safe to assume the bike shown scything through the traffic is the GT, while the one shown honing around the dunes and attacking the trails is the Rally specification machine.

It’s likely that the new naming convention for the models will follow this format, possibly doing away with the previous – and slightly confusing – XCA/XRT/XRTLow nomenclature of the old model.

The bike features an intriguing headlight arrangement, in the form of a centrally mounted headlight cluster, with main beam lights and a wing-like DRL running across the top of the unit. Below that we can see two rally-spec spotlights burning into the camera.

A link on the YouTube video takes you to a page on the Triumph website which reads:

“Raise your expectations, 7pm Tuesday 3rd December 2019, A new name. a new benchmark. Capability, excitement, attitude and fun… transformed”

Other features notable on the video are Showa forks, luggage rack and an adjustable screen.

The clip also confirms that more information will be released regarding both models on Tuesday 3rd December.
