MV boss, Timur Sardarov, has for some time now spoken about his yearning to enter the ADV game, although today is the first official confirmation that the move is in action. Just a couple of days ago, pictures emerged purporting to show the new travel enduro undergoing on-road testing, and today’s announcement serves as confirmation that it is indeed the next new model from the Varese-based firm.

Joining the press release is the Lucky Explorer Project website (which at the time of typing is a blank page) and a Lucky Explorer Instagram channel – which currently includes some iconic shots of Lucky Stripe-branded Dakar bikes from the golden era of motorcycle rally.

As the bike is not currently available to view, we can’t give you much more to go on than it looks to be a more ruggedly styled and robustly constructed version of the Turismo Veloce. At its heart seems to be the inline three-cylinder engine that is synonymous with so many MV Agusta models.

We might not have long to wait though, as the reservation programme begins on November 23rd, just two days before we expect to find out more about the model live from the exhibition hall floor at EICMA.

Timur Sardarov, CEO, MV Agusta Motor S.p.A., said:

“I am excited about the launch of this very special project. The Lucky Explorer concept is not just about bikes, it’s about a comprehensive world of emotions, memories, values and a way of being. A long-awaited return for all the fans of  Made-in-Schiranna, but also a new beginning and a leap into the future: no matter where life takes  us, we know where we’re from.”
