A new special edition of the Moto Morini X-Cape 650 adventure bike has been launched: the self-explanatory 'Gold Wheel Edition'.

Moto Morini has announced a new special edition version of its X-Cape 650 adventure bike, called the ‘Gold Wheel Edition.’

Unsurprisingly, the X-Cape 650 Gold Edition features gold wheel rims and, truthfully, they look great as a celebration of 85 years of Moto Morini. They’re sort of Africa Twin Adventure Sports-ish, if you want a detailed technical assessment.

Other than the gold wheels, the technical specifications of the motorcycle remain the same as standard, and the “Red Passion” paint on the bodywork is also nothing new.

However, the standard bike packs decent off-roading specs, anyway, including 50mm Marzocchi front forks (and a rear shock from the same company), Brembo brake callipers, and ABS from Bosch.

The windscreen is also adjustable, and a seven-inch TFT dashboard offers decent visibility - important when anything more than a glance away from the road can lead to disaster.

If you are looking to get your hands on a Gold Wheel Edition X-Cape 650, you will need to act fast. Only 30 will be sold in the UK. Additionally, you will need £7,799 (plus OTR).

If you want to try a standard X-Cape 650, you should contact one of Moto Morini’s 26 authorised dealers across the UK and Ireland. You can find your nearest dealer using the dealer locator on the Moto Morini website.

The engine used in the X-Cape 650 is also the same 650cc motor as will be used in the upcoming and anticipated Seiemezzo roadster motorcycles that were announced a few weeks ago.
