The Speed Triple 1200 RR is one of Triumph’s latest and most-advanced motorcycles, featuring electronically-adjustable front forks from Ohlins, Stylema callipers from Brembo, Diablo Supercorsa tyres from Pirelli, and a three-cylinder engine producing 177 horsepower.
Its statistics are undeniable, and its looks are agreeable, too. But, for a limited number of models, the appearance is updated.
That is thanks to a continuation of Triumph’s relationship with the James Bond film franchise, which has now produced a special edition version of the Speed Triple 1200 RR, called the Speed Triple 1200 RR Bond Edition.
Fundamentally, this is a limited edition graphics update for the Speed Triple RR. Adorning the bodywork, you will find a blacked-out paint job with details referencing all 25 of the James Bond films from the first - Dr. No - to the most recent - No Time To Die - which is where the relationship between Triumph and the film franchise began.
Getting closer, the details continue, with the distinctive gun barrel design featured in the cockpit.
Triumph describes the aesthetic of the bike as “stealthy” in a press release. That look, they continue, “is complemented by the premium custom-made gold logos, which feature across the motorcycle.”
As a nod to the 60th anniversary of James Bond, there will only be 60 of these Bond Editions made. Each bike will come with clamp badge identifying which number of the 60 it is, and a unique certificate of authenticity that is signed by Triumph’s CEO, Nick Bloor.
Additionally, each bike will come with an indoor cover, featuring Bond-inspired graphics.
Compared to the £17,950 of the standard Speed Triple 1200 RR, the new Bond Edition will cost £21,995. Order requests will be available from 15:30 on 4 October on Triumph's website.
