Matchbox The Movie sees Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE play a starring role
Triumph’s Scrambler 1200 XE gets another big-screen outing in the new Matchbox The Movie, which premieres on Apple TV on October 9.

The Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE is getting another silver-screen appearance this autumn, as it’s set to play a starring role in the new Matchbox The Movie live-action film.
The film, which premieres on Apple TV October 9, 2026, sees the award-winning Scrambler appear throughout the film, including during one of the movie's hair-raising action sequences.
While the Hinckley Scrambler plays one of the leading vehicular roles, the big-name human star of the film is the former WWE wrestler-turned movie star, John Cena.
The plot centres around a group of childhood buddies whose lives are are unravvled when their former leader, now undercover CIA agent Sean (played by Cena), returns home and unwittingly pulls them into a high-stakes mission to save the world from annihilation.

Joining the release of the film is a behind-the-scenes documentary outlining how the Scrambler 1200 XE was used in the film.
This isn’t the first time the Scrambler 1200 has played a starring two-wheeled role in a big-budget film. Arguably it’s most famous appearance was in the James Bond epic No Time to Die.
Speaking about the movie, Nick Bell, Triumph’s Chief Marketing Officer, said:
“The Scrambler 1200 XE is renowned for combining exceptional off-road capability with timeless Bonneville-inspired design, and has earned a reputation as one of the most capable and charismatic adventure motorcycles available today. So it’s a natural fit for the demanding action sequences featured in Matchbox The Movie.”
With the Triumph now officially appearing in a movie about the Mattel-owned toy, it seems only a matter of time before the Scrambler 1200 XE gets its own 1:64 scale replica.
Matchbox The Movie premieres globally on October 9 on Apple TV.
