Lenovo technology played a crucial role in Ducati’s WorldSBK triple crown, and here’s how

Ducati’s on-track results are what will be remembered from the 2026 WorldSBK campaign, however, the technology driven by Lenovo played a huge helping hand.

By now you might have noticed that Lenovo is a pretty significant part of the Ducati puzzle when it comes to racing, both in MotoGP and WorldSBK, and there's a very good reason for that.

In MotoGP, Lenovo is the title sponsor of the official Ducati team. In WorldSBK, it is the main sponsor of the factory Aruba.it Ducati team, and the technology specialists just played a major role in helping the Bologna-based company achieve a WorldSBK triple crown (Riders’, Teams’ and Manufacturers’ titles) in Ducati’s 100th year as a manufacturer.

Results are the thing everyone remembers from a world championship win, and in Ducati’s case, not being beaten by another manufacturer until this point in 2026, is simply remarkable.

But often lost in all of that are the finer details that go into helping riders, and teams, achieve the success required to win championships.

That’s where Lenovo comes in, as the Italian company’s ThinkSystem SE350 edge servers and Lenovo ThinkPad P1 mobile software were instrumental in handling the Panigale V4 R’s race data.

Lenovo has travelled to every WorldSBK event this season, and through its partnership with Ducati, engineers have been able to process up to 40 GB of data every weekend.

With WorldSBK featuring multiple races every weekend, and in some cases gaps of just two hours between sessions, Lenovo’s easy-to-use software has played a critical role in delivering data quickly for engineers.

The current WorldSBK regulations prohibit real-time analysis, meaning it is crucial for teams to operate quickly between sessions.

Speaking about the shared success with Ducati, Enza Truzzolillo, Managing Director and General Manager of Lenovo, said:

“This extraordinary Triple Crown is the result of exceptional talent, determination and teamwork performed at the highest level. We are proud that Lenovo’s technology has supported Aruba.it Racing – Ducati throughout the season, helping the team make faster, more informed decisions in an environment where every detail can make a difference.

“This achievement highlights the value of a partnership built on innovation, excellence and a shared commitment to performance. Congratulations to Nicolò Bulega and the entire team on a truly historic accomplishment.”

The WorldSBK-spec Panigale V4 R is based on the production model, although it carries over significant ideas borrowed from the company’s MotoGP programme, including its reworked chassis, front frame and double-sided swingarm.
