Kawasaki teases potential Honda CB1000GT rival
Kawasaki has teased a new inline-four motorcycle, although it’s unclear whether the new bike will be a 1,000cc machine, or maybe a brand-new model.

In the UK right now, the sport-touring segment is being dominated by Honda’s new CB1000GT, but that could all change in 2027 if this tease from Kawasaki is what we think it is.

The tease shows a motorcycle tackling different roads, suggesting something with an adventure or touring background is in the works.
However, the caption used by Kawasaki; “Destination adrenaline”, suggests something on the sportier side.
Beyond the limited amount of riding footage available, and a quick sighting of a tall front screen, Kawasaki has provided no further details regarding the new model.
So what could it be? Well, the first place to start is the company’s Versys range, which currently features the 650 and flagship 1100 models.
The bike sounds bigger than the 650, but smaller than the Versys 1100, meaning it could fit in somewhere between the 750 and 1,000cc segment.
That appears to be the most likely outcome in terms of the size of the bike’s engine, but it’s still unclear whether it will indeed be a new Versys, or something entirely different.
The other option that seems most likely is a new Ninja sports-tourer, with Team Green’s current range dominated by the 1100SX.

Kawasaki has already confirmed the 2027 Ninja 1100SX across Europe, but with no option smaller than the 1,099cc variant, at present, the Japanese brand could be looking at introducing a smaller model.
It’s unclear when this new model will be revealed, but with EICMA less than a month away, we don’t expect the wait to be a long one.
