HONDA will be going to EICMA 2021, it’s confirmed. The European event is scheduled to take place between the 23rd and 28th of November in Milan.

Whilst other manufacturers may be reconsidering their attendance at the massive European event, with BMW dropping out at the start of the year, Honda has made a big statement by confirming their attendance to what is quite possibly the most important event on the calendar in the two-wheeled industry.

It’s incredibly likely that now, with vaccines being rolled out across the world and the ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ in sight, EICMA should be back in style for this year. This could be the remedy for low sales numbers, and this time next year we may be looking at unprecedented figures.

Unfortunately the event was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, and with the global economic uncertainty that followed, we were all left to speculate whether we’ll be even seeing the show return for 2021 - it’s a fantastic opportunity to get a first glimpse at the new motorcycles and scooters we can expect in dealers for the following year.

Goes without saying, but it’s not concrete just yet - things may change just as quickly as last year, and there is plenty of time for things to change; the exhibition is 8 months away.

In the official statement from Honda:

“It is a concrete and conscious approach to protect the value of the event, the public and the whole sector of reference involved, with the structure of EICMA S.p.A. and the manufacturers committed to facing up to the complexity of the organization of the event in a context in continuous development.”

“The path towards EICMA 2021 is distinguished by a reasonable expectation and a more flexible vision compared to the past. Sharing this new orientation therefore implies a surplus of compactness by all the players involved and the positive confirmation of Honda, together with the other significant names which have already assured their presence, go in exactly this direction. We hope that we can soon communicate other confirmations.”

“The common objective, is that we can once again gather around our passion for the products of this industry and reconquer the freedom to do what EICMA has been doing for over one hundred years: creating opportunities for companies and offering the public visitor experiences which are increasingly exciting and thrilling.”
