Honda has broken BMW’s stranglehold on the touring segment in the UK, with the NT1100 replacing the R1300 RT as the best-seller in February.

When it comes to big-bike sales in the UK, Honda and BMW are often very high up on that list. For example, the adventure segment was heavily dominated by the BMW R1300 GS and R1300 GS Adventure models in 2025. On the other hand, the touring segment was often topped by the R1300 RT, and to a lesser degree, the NT1100.

According to statistics from the MCIA (Motorcycle Industry Association), a total of 40 Honda NT1100s were sold in the UK in February. That’s five more than what the R1300 RT managed as the best-selling tourer in the month of January.

But beyond the numbers, the NT1100 out-ranking the R1300 RT is significant because the latter had been the top-selling tourer every month since October. That level of dominance from October to January had only been matched by the Honda CB125F in the naked segment.

Before September, which was the last time the NT1100 became the best-selling tourer in the UK, the R1300 RT had also topped the segment for much of the summer. In fact, this is only the second time that any motorcycle other than the R1300 RT has topped the touring sales table since the end of May, 2025.

As well as the NT1100’s strong performance in February, Honda also led the adventure segment as it once again broke BMW’s stranglehold in that area of the market, too.

The NC750X took top spot with a total of 37 units sold, while the CB125F topped the naked segment with 83 units sold.

Those figures, including the 40 NT1100s that were registered in the UK, were three out of the four highest totals across all motorcycle segments.
