KTM quash single-cylinder RC4 rumours

KTM ITALY director Angelo Crippa has smashed the rumours of an RC4 smaller version of the RC8 going on sale out of the water, saying that such a bike "would not make sense" to build.

Speaking yesterday, Crippa said: “We are looking at what we do next, very closely and we are doing this for a reason.

"It does not make sense to invest in a motor like the single-cylinder motor we would need for the RC4 to be competitive. Especially if there is not enough demand to make it so that it can compete and win.

"And when there will be other types of this motorcycle arriving from other manufacturers in both Cologne and Milan.”
