Appeal for information after attempted assault of police officer

Officers are appealing for information after a motorcycle was deliberately driven at a police officer in Dudley on Sunday 7 October.

Neighbourhood officers were in the Dixons Green area of Dudley just after midday conducting a drone operation to tackle off road bikers in the area who cause noise and fear to local residents.

Police are keen to trace the motorcyclist, captured in drone footage in Banklands Road, who is believed to hold vital information.

An officer attempted to stop a motorcyclist in the park area, who was avoiding officers on the other side, but fell over as the suspect rode at him and failed to stop. Fortunately, the officer was not injured.

Enquiries continue and anyone with information is asked to contact police via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am − midnight, or to call 101 anytime.
