CFMoto’s V4 SR-RR makes its public debut in China, but what does this really mean?

Revealed for the first time at the 2025 EICMA show in Milan, CFMoto has now shown off its highly anticipated V4 SR-RR in front of the Chinese public.

The new model, which is yet to launch as a production-ready motorcycle, was unveiled as a prototype last November. However, with each appearance it makes, the V4 SR-RR is getting closer to an official launch.

The all-new V4 SR-RR debuted in front of the Chinese crowds as part of the 2026 CFMoto Day. But this was not a static debut, and by that we mean the bike being put on a stand for people to admire. Instead, the new machine fired up its engine and was ridden at the Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit, in southwest China.

The V4 SR-RR is a very interesting bike, as it’s likely to be at the centre of CFMoto’s ‘big bike’ plans with regard to racing.

Set to arrive as the brand’s flagship superbike model, CFMoto claims the new bike produces 207bhp.

CFMoto has been heavily linked with MotoGP in recent months, as well as WorldSBK, however, it’s the latter that’s most likely to welcome the V4 SR-RR in the future.

At present, the V4 SR-RR looks to be in CFMoto’s future racing plans when it comes to the 1,000cc category, which would obviously rule it out from MotoGP as engine sizes will reduce to 850cc in 2027. But while WorldSBK could be on the cards, so too could a future at the Isle of Man TT.

This last point is one to keep in mind, as the Chinese manufacturer is set to make its debut at the TT in 2026, with the 675SR-R.

CFMoto’s participation in racing has grown exponentially in recent years, and that looks unlikely to stop any time soon, especially when models such as the V4 SR-RR are on their way.
