BMW R12 G/S, F900 R and R1300 RS receive 2027 model updates
BMW Motorrad is bringing a long list of new colours and special equipment to various models for 2027, including its retro enduro R12 G/S.

BMW’s 2027 model update has extended itself to the brand’s heritage, roadster and sport-touring line-ups, with the R12 G/S, F900 R and R1300 RS all featured.
That said, we’re talking about very minimal updates as the R12 G/S will remain mechanically and technically unchanged. Instead, the update comes via a new colourway named Frozen Brooklyn Grey metallic. This livery will replace the outgoing Option 719 Sandrover Uni matt option.
Most of the models featured are only receiving optional equipment for 2027, which can be specced at the dealer via the online configurator.

This is where the R1300 RS comes into play, as the sport-tourer is now available with factory-spec panniers. The R1300 R also gains the possibility of adding the same panniers as its RS sibling, plus a new Touring Package that includes left/right case holders, a central lock and centre stand.
From there we have the BMW F900 range, with both the R and XR models gaining the option of a Comfort Package which features a new M Endurance Chain.

BMW’s M Endurance Chain uses a special DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating material, and has been designed to offer greater stiffness and resistance. It does not require lubrication, either.
Finally, the M1000 XR is also featured as part of the long list of motorcycles receiving a 2027 model update. Optional equipment comes in the form of a new Track Package featuring the Bavarian company’s M-spec Laptrigger, a Carbon Package, M Billet Package and M Carbon Wheels. However, the M Competition Package is no longer available.
The M Track Package II is also available and includes everything mentioned above, except the M Carbon Wheels.
