DJI is best known as a global leader in the drone industry, but it's also well-versed in producing action cameras like this all-new 8k Osmo 360 model, which is loaded with perks for motorcycle riders.

We live in a world where action cameras are part of the everyday travel experience for some. And for those on two wheels that enjoy filming their rides, the new DJI Osmo 360 is likely to prove an alternative to the Insta360.

In terms of the price there’s not a huge amount separating them, with the DJI Osmo 360 available for £549, which includes the full Multi-POV Motorcycle Bundle. The new Insta360 X5 will set you back £613 for its Motorcycle Multiview Bundle.

For the ‘Ultimate’ motorcycle package from Insta360, you will be looking at £702. If you’re only after the handlebar kit by itself, the DJI Osmo 360 package is priced at £448.

DJI claims the Osmo 360 “delivers the sharpest photos possible on the 360 camera market”, and that it also features 1-inch 360-degree imaging.

The company also says its new model is the first 360 camera to shoot ultra-high-spec 8k/50fps 360-degree video footage, as well as being the only 360 camera that can continuously shoot for 100 minutes in 8K/30fps2.

“With the Osmo 360, DJI is challenging the status quo of the 360 camera market,” said Christina Zhang, Senior Director of Corporate Strategy at DJI. “We are revolutionizing panoramic innovation by leveraging DJI’s long history of innovation in creative camera technology. With each technological breakthrough, from 1-inch 360-degree imaging with industry-first square HDR sensor, to outstanding low-light performance, we aim to change what’s possible in a 360 camera.”

The new Osmo 360 action camera is available on the official DJI website
