With a quickshifter, traction control and dual channel ABS developed by Bosch, it’s no wonder Aprilia is excited by its new RS 125 GP Replica.

Sporting the latest graphics from the 2025 RS-GP bike that’s used by reigning world champion Jorge Martin and Silverstone winner Marco Bezzecchi, the new beginner-friendly sportbike from the Noale-based company is one of the most advanced bikes in the 125cc segment.

As well as the edgy MotoGP livery, which is dominated by black with red and purple graphics, the quickshifter, which comes as standard on the updated model, is one of the highlights, along with a new single-seat cover.

If you’re anything like me and love all bikes with a matt black finish on them, coupled with a sporty-looking feel, then the RS 125 GP Replica is sure to be a favourite for any rider looking to cut their teeth in two-wheel sports bike riding.

The matt black paint finish is present across the swingarm and frame, with die-cast aluminium beams featuring cross-ribbed reinforcement.

The ‘most advanced’ RS 125 model produced, according to the Italian manufacturer, benefits from the same major technical improvements introduced on the RS 125 for 2025. The previous iteration of the RS 125 GP cracked the top three in our top ten 125cc motorcycles of 2024, highlighting how far Aprilia’s bike had come.

The tuning of its liquid-cooled, four-valve, DOHC, fuel-injected four-stroke single-cylinder engine means it is fully compliant with Euro 5+ regulations, producing 14.7bhp at 10,500 rpm and 8.4Ib ft of torque at 8,500 rpm.

Like the bike’s quickshifter, traction control (which can be disabled) and the cutting-edge dual-channel ABS developed in collaboration with Bosch also come as standard, and the revamped model also features a rollover prevention system in the event of emergency braking.
