HEL Performance, a leader in high-performance stainless steel brake lines, fittings and billet brake calipers, has completed the acquisition of fellow British company, Harrison Billet.

HEL Performance is a well-known brand across the UK, and especially in the British Superbikes paddock, where it has held a significant presence for well over a decade.

You may also know of HEL Performance for the wide selection of products it offers, including a range of solid billet brake calipers.

It offers a range of brake and clutch lines for motorcycles from different manufacturers, including Harley-Davidson, KTM, Kawasaki, MV Agusta, and many more, while its UK-made fittings are fully CNC-machined.

Harrison Billet, which was founded during the 1980s, is also a specialist when it comes to CNC-machined products. All of the company’s front brake calipers are directly fitted and do not require brackets. They are also made to fit your particular motorcycle.

The new strategic acquisition means HEL Performance will now have two separate brands that cover a full range of motorcycles, and one that allows Harrison Billet to expand further.

As part of a statement on its Facebook page, Simon Lane, owner of HEL Performance, said this about the new partnership:

“When HEL started out in business some 29 years ago the marketplace was very different. Trying to sell a new ‘crimped’ or ‘swaged’ brake line in an industry that relied on ‘reusable’ fittings was going to be hard – all these years later we see that the changes we made, to make the industry safer, have been adopted by almost every other brake line manufacturer.

“At the start I spoke to one person – Ken Harrison who had started Harrison Billet. He helped me out more than you would ever know with advice, contacts and his ‘disruptor’ standpoint to business that made a huge difference to our lives. He was one of the very first to sell our lines – as an engineer he understood what we were doing, that it was better to have a permanently attached brake line fitting and that stainless steel was the optimum material for the fittings.”

The statement also made reference to Harrison Billet’s staff, which will be retained as part of the acquisition by HEL Performance.
