TV funny man and artist Jim Moir (AKA Vic Reeves) may be best known for his hilarious leading role in Shooting Stars, The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer, but did you know he’s also an avid motorcycle fan?

Aside from his documentary shows focusing on big-name racers such as Barry Sheene and Mick Grant, Moir is also known for turning his hand to custom bike design, with two of his bespoke machines being the star lots in an upcoming auction.

The bikes in question are a custom Royal Enfield single-cylinder, completed to look like a post-war bobber, and a Kawasaki W650 that has been finished in a flat-track racer style, complete with retro single seat unit and high-level, dual exhausts. Neither of the two bikes are said to have been ridden since completion, and they have apparently been stored for seven years, meaning some recommissioning work will be required.

The two bikes are being auctioned by The Saleroom, with the sale ending on April 20 at 12:36 pm. The Royal Enfield is Lot.131, while the Kawasaki is Lot.132. Currently, each bike is sitting on its opening bid only, with the bidding on each machine starting at £6,000.
