Sylvain Guintoli Helps Cancer Charity With Kit Auction

Sylvain Guintoli has put a total of seven items up for the auction which can be found here, with a custom race suit that was worn throughout the 2024 Endurance World Championship campaign, where he finished third alongside Florian Marino and former MotoGP rider Randy De Puniet.

The race suit has been listed at £550 but it's not the most expensive item on the list as Guintoli’s Shark race helmet is valued at well over £1k, with 33 bids already made. The price, as of the time of this writing is up to £1,380. The helmet is painted in black with the BMW colours branded across it.

Also included in the listing is a 2024 BMW Winter Jacket, official BMW zip-up sweater, custom RST racing gloves and Gaerne boots used by Guintoli this season, and a BMW team t-shirt.

The auction will see 100 per cent of the funds raised go to the Young Lives Cancer charity to support children with the illness. 

The boots are currently up to £360 with a total of 18 bids, while the gloves are sitting at £255 after 12 bids. Both BMW jackets have surpassed the £100 mark, while the t-shirt is currently selling for £55 after six bids. The eBay auction ends this Sunday.

Guintoli, whose biggest career achievement involved winning the 2014 World Superbike title for Aprilia, was a long-time test rider for Suzuki during its recent involvement in MotoGP before ending its racing program at the end of 2022.

Since Suzuki’s departure from MotoGP, Guintoli has continued to race in the Endurance World Championship, while also taking up the role of official test rider for the BMW Motorrad WorldSBK team, a role he began at the start of this season.
