Stark Future have released more details about two new electric road bikes, both of which should compete against 800cc bikes.

One of those, which is set to be unveiled first, is an adventure motorcycle that the electric bike maker has very, very big plans for. The second of those is a sportier model, but Stark’s founder and CEO, Anton Wass, confirmed it will feature similar specs to the Alg - which is the name of the adventure bike.

Before those two models arrive on the scene, Stark’s first fully street-legal motorcycle will be an all-new supermoto bike. As part of a teaser video which detailed the upcoming bikes, Wass was seen talking about the bike to the company’s senior figures, before taking it for a spin himself.

During a YouTube video on the official Stark channel, Wass said:

“We will launch an SM [model] this year. It will be a fully street-focused Varg. it’s a very exciting category; the first super light, super powerful street-legal supermoto. Now, we’re going to take the next big step which is to enter the street category and this is important because people look at Stark as a motocross company.

“I think it’s important that we start talking about this externally and it is also the idea that we communicate that we are going to produce and sell this vehicle. Before we launch them without details and so on, but we want people to know what Stark is really about. We are done working on an adventure bike that is targeting the European motorcycle market. This is in the 800cc category. We are targeting 50 per cent more power at a lower weight, and a charging time faster than you can drink a cup of coffee. It will have more range than you need. This will change the perspective of road motorcycles forever.

“That is the adventure bike we are now developing. We think this will become the best selling adventure motorcycle in the world. After the Alg, we will also make a street bike and the name is Lo. It will have similar specs but with a more sporty approach.”

There is another road model being considered, although it’s one that has not yet been put into production. This will be built for the Asian market, says Vass. Stark’s CEO says the ambition is to make this particular model the best-selling motorcycle in the world, and one that therefore sells millions of units per year.

It’s thought that this model will be more tailored towards the small-to-mid-capacity range, meaning a 100 to 500cc equivalent, while recharging should take place as fast as it would take to fill a petrol motorcycle at a fuel station.
