A STATUE has been unveiled at the Portimao circuit in Portugal in memory of British rider Craig Jones.
Jones dies after suffering massive head injuries after a fall at last year's World Supersport race at Brands Hatch.
He was riding for the Parkalgar Honda team at the time of the fatal crash; the team's owner, and the man who owns the Portimao track, Paulo Pinheiro, have named a corner at the Portugese circuit in memory of the rider and commssioned the statue, which shows Jonesey on his Honda punching the air in celebration.
The temporary tribute will be replaced with a permanent stone version over the winter.
