World champion Marquez sets the fastest lap time on day one of official 2019 MotoGP testing, at Sepang in Malaysia, on his comeback from surgery to his left shoulder.
The Repsol Honda star set his best time of 1m 59.621s on his 26th of 29 laps and, although he stopped riding an hour before the end, was able to remain on top of the timesheets.
Team-mate Jorge Lorenzo is the only race rider absent, due to his recent wrist injury, while LCR Honda's Crutchlow was on track for the first time since serious ankle injuries at Phillip Island in October.
Bagnaia, Oliveira and Kallio stopped on track with technical problems, while Iannone, Miller and Pol Espargaro were among the fallers.
Testing, which took place from 10am to 6pm, continues on Thursday and Friday.
