MotoGP 2012: Laguna Seca race results

14 finish, four of those got lapped. Is this the world's premier class?

LORENZO lead most of the Laguna Seca USGP race but when Stoner passed him on the start/finish straight, Yamaha's top man had nothing left in his locker. Pedrosa almost highsided himself into next week but managed to stay on after surviving a brutal highside/lowside/tankslpper combo.

Crutchlow could match - but never quite better - Dovizioso's pace, while Hayden spent the race clawing back from a poor start, managing to take Ducati's highest finish with 6th, meanwhile teammate Valentino Rossi lowsided at the approach to The Corkscrew. That front end is still giving Rossi nightmares.
