Marquez, Lorenzo visit Space Center Houston
Special tour of Space Center Houston for MotoGP stars Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo.
Prior to this weekend's MotoGP in Austin, Texas, multiple world champions Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo stopped off for a visit to Space Center Houston.
The Repsol Honda team-mates were welcomed and given a tour by president and CEO William T. Harris, exploring a number of exhibitions and areas related to space, and even trying on the astronaut gloves used in different missions coordinated from Houston.
The riders were also able to get a close look at a historic Saturn V rocket, which travelled approximately 115 times faster than their Honda RC213V to escape the earth’s atmosphere.
Marquez and Lorenzo will take part in opening practice at COTA on Friday, with reigning champion Marquez looking to extend his unbeaten run at the track to seven in a row.
Man first set foot on the moon in 1969, which was the same year that Repsol began sponsoring motorsport.
