THE CONSULTANT treating Guy Martin at Nobles Hospital on the Isle of Man says the staff have "not been able to shut him up" since he was admitted earlier today following his massive crash at Ballagarey.
Many feared the worst for the likeable Lincolnshire rider after the Senior TT was red-flagged following the crash, but Martin remained conscious throughout the whole ordeal.
The specialist, Mr Maric Thorpe, also confirmed Martin would not need any surgery, despite bruising both lungs and sustaining small fractures to some of his spine.
Martin was keen to emphasise that the incident had "nothing to do with his lack of commitment".
