Vickers knocked unconscious in crash, out of Brands Hatch BSB
Ryan Vickers is knocked unconscious in a crash at Brands Hatch GP, ruling him out of the remainder of the event
Ryan Vickers will miss a second Bennetts British Superbike Championship event in a row after a crash at Clearways left him ‘initially unconscious’ during FP3 at Brands Hatch GP.
The RAF Regular & Reserves Kawasaki rider was making a comeback to action this weekend after suffering a broken collarbone in an accident at Donington Park, forcing him out of all three Round three races.
However, the youngster – winner of the National Superstock 600 Championship last season – suffered another painful accident after falling from the Kawasaki ZX-10R in the closing stages of the session at Clearways.
‘Initially unconscious’ according to organisers MSV, it means Vickers is not permitted to ride again this weekend in what is another blow to the Lee Hardy Racing-run squad, BSB runners-up with Jake Dixon on the bike in 2018.
