Ducati locked out the top three positions in final free practice ahead of qualifying for Round 4 of the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch GP, with Scott Redding taking his turn at the top of the timesheets.

The Briton swept to the summit at the expense of Be Wiser Ducati team-mate Josh Brookes – who was quickest in FP1 and FP2 – with a 1m 25.196s lap just before a red flag for a crash at Clearways involving the already-injured Ryan Vickers brought the session to a premature conclusion.

With Brookes in second and Tommy Bridewell on the Oxford Racing Ducati in third position, then Italian manufacturer is a strong favourite to secure pole position with one of its riders this afternoon.

The only other man to crack into the 1m 25secs bracket, Tarran Mackenzie and McAMS Yamaha appear to pose the greatest challenge after wrapping up fourth quickest, though Christian Iddon and Danny Buchan were also in the mix on the Tyco BMW and FS-3 Kawasaki respectively.

Jason O’Halloran and Keith Farmer followed in seventh and eighth, with Suzuki’s Bradley Ray and Luke Stapleford on the official Buildbase machines rounding out the top ten.

Ex-MotoGP rider Hector Barbera, meanwhile, failed to set a time, while Xavi Fores – a triple podium winner at Donington Park – was only 18th best.
