Shoei's latest full-face track helmet, the X-SPR Pro, is now availble

Shoei's latest track helmet, the race-developed X-SPR Pro worn by the likes of Marc Marquez, is now available for purchase by the public.

Shoei X-SPR Pro in matte black

Shoei has launched the X-SPR Pro, its latest full-face track-focused motorcycle helmet from the Japanese manufacturer.

Shoei’s X-SPR Pro was announced a while ago now, and has been worn by the brand’s premier racing athletes - such as MotoGP’s Alex and Marc Marquez, and WorldSBK’s Toprak Razgatlioglu - for the 2022 racing season.

The X-SPR Pro replaces the old X-Spirit III as Shoei’s premier track-focused full-face crash hat, with updates to the ventilation and aerodynamics of the helmet, as well as a central-locking system for the visor, and a revision of the eye port dimensions.

Additionally, compared to the previous helmet, the X-SPR Pro features a 16.5% increase in the amount of the helmet which is in contact with the cheek. This, Shoei says, provides “a more secure fit” at high speeds.

The X-SPR Pro will be available in the colours “Black” (above), “White” (below) and “Matt Black” (top of page) with graphic options (presumably race replicas) coming in 2023. Available in four sizes (XS-S, M, L, XL-XXL), it will retail at £699.99 for the standard version, and £719.99 with the matte colour option. The full technical specs for the X-SPR Pro can be found below.
