YAMAHA'S revamped R15 has finally been officially launched after nearly a year of spy shots and leaked design pictures.

Aimed purely at the massive Indian market, the R15 replaces an existing model of the same name which effectively kick-started a passion for sports bikes in India. Despite having just 17bhp and 150cc, it's considered a superbike in its home market, and has a price to match – at around £1500 it's a seriously expensive bike in India, even if it seems incredibly cheap compared to the £4249 YZF-R125 we get over here.

Whether you see it as expensive or cheap, it's not bad looking for a small sportster; you have to think that such a bike might do quite well over here – provided Yamaha could keep it at that price...
