Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid GYTR Performance Kits launched

The official Yamaha Rally Team has helped to develop a range of go-faster goodies ready to make your Tenere 700 World Raid go further, faster, and harder.

GYTR-World-Raid-kits

The three kits are all available through European dealerships and comprise the Performance kit, Handling kit, and Rally kit. Each brings a slightly different flavour to the Tenere 700, allowing the rider to enhance the look, feel, and ability of the top-spec adventure bike.

The Performance kit includes the GYTR rally seat and footrest set, while increasing engine performance with the GYTR ECU, Akrapovič full titanium exhaust system and air filter. The engine enhancements within the Performance kit raise the output of the bike by a claimed 8.8bhp and the seat is also lifted by an extra 25mm over the stock World Raid. The final element in the Performance kit is a billet aluminium clutch split cover kit, which allows easy access to the clutch for on-the-fly maintenance and adjustment.

The Handling kit is headlined by 48mm KYB fully adjustable closed cartridge forks that feature sexy DLC-coated tubes and a huge 270mm of travel at the front end. The forks are clasped by a GYTR billet triple clamp, which itself is linked to a Scotts Performance fully adjustable steering damper. The rear of the bike is enhanced with a Paioli shock absorber, featuring high and low-flow rate pistons to optimise compression and rebound damping at any speed. Another addition with this kit is the inclusion of GYTR rally wheels, prepared by Haan Wheels using Excel rims and machined hubs in aluminium. The new rolling stock not only reduces overall and un-sprung weight, but it also allows the use of more powerful Brembo calipers and bigger 300mm discs at the front end - also included in the kit. Rounding off the Handling kit is a GYTR high front fender for improved protection and that obligatory ‘Dakar look’.

The Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid GYTR Rally kit is claimed to provide the ‘ultimate in endurance and rally performance’, by adding a larger humungous 37.6-litre fuel tank, and all the ancillary elements required to include the kind of roadbooks and GPS equipment that are essential for on pro-level rally raid events. A GYTR handlebar kit is also included, which boasts a quick-action throttle, hand guards, a new set of indicators and warning lights, a headlight tower kit with four high-performance spotlights. You also get a new polycarbonate screen to provide protection for the rider and tower-mounted technology. The final element of the Rally kit is a full carbon Kevlar skid plate, along with a sticker kit inspired by the GYTR Africa Eco Rally machine.
