Yamaha MT-03 confirmed

Details and pictures of new 320cc MT revealed by Yamaha in Japan

YAMAHA has confirmed the existence of the MT-03, the bigger-capacity version of the M-T25 which we told you was on the way.

Official pictures and details of the latest addition to the MT range have been released by Yamaha in Japan.

The MT-25 and MT-03 are naked versions of the YZF-R25 and YZF-R3 respectively, using the same 249cc and 320cc parallel-twin engines. Just as Europe got the R3 while some Asian markets got the R25, so we're likely to get the MT-03 instead of the MT-25 which was unveiled in Indonesia in June.

The MT-03 has been revealed on Yamaha’s Japanese website. While Yamaha hasn't confirmed it's destined for the European market, it seems highly likely it will be unveiled at the Eicma Milan show this November.

Visordown first revealed the MT-25 - which is visually nearly identical to the MT-03 - with a spy shot in May
