Vespa has launched a new special edition of its Primavera scooter in collaboration with Disney.
The legendary scooter from Italy, the Vespa Primavera, is now available in a Disney Mickey Mouse Edition, which features a striking paint scheme and which has come about as part of a collaboration between Vespa and Disney to celebrate the entertainment company’s 100th anniversary.
The specifications of the Vespa Primavera Disney Mickey Mouse Edition are unchanged from the standard model, but the bike features a majority-black-and-red paint scheme, with a yellow front mudguard and wheel rims, which are representative of the cartoon character’s shoes.
Additional graphical details on the scooter include a design consisting of outlines of the famous Disney character’s silhouette, as well as his signature, which is located both on the front shell and the saddle.

This collaboration between Disney and Vespa is not the first time the American company has collaborated with a figure of Italian motorcycling this year, as reigning MotoGP World Champion Francesco Bagnaia has been cast to voice a character in the upcoming film Elemental.
Both collaborations also work in a similar context, if you consider that Elemental is a new release featuring new characters and set in a newly developed world, yet is born from an historic dynasty of film, and Bagnaia is the emerging star of Italian motorcycle racing in the post-Valentino Rossi era, born from the dynasty and legacy of Rossi; where Mickey Mouse is the iconic character from Disney’s history, and Vespa is one of the most iconic names in global motorcycling.

The Vespa Primavera Disney Mickey Mouse Edition will unfortunately only be arriving in the US and Canada 50cc form, where it will cost $4,699 USD and $5,345 CAD, respectively. The US will also receive the special edition scooter in 150cc form, which will be priced at $6,049 USD.
