54 years 8 monthsCarrying an exceptional level of hand-crafted detail and offering a splash of exuberant colour, the eight-strong Triumph Bonneville range will see some special editions heading their way. Triumph has today announced the Gold Line limited editions for a year-long run, starting in December 2021.
Initially seen on the sold-out Triumph Street Twin Gold Line range from earlier this year, the specials will be available for each model in the Modern Classic Bonneville line-up.
As well as receiving all of the recent updates to the Euro 5 range from earlier this year, the Gold Line specials add head-turning style from hand-finished work by expertly trained painters in the UK & Thailand.
If you weren’t sure exactly what ‘Gold Lining’ is: the art of Gold Lining is often characterised by the hand-painted coachline that is applied with a single, continuous stroke of a specialised mix of colour & cellulose lacquer by an expert painter. In most cases, Triumph say the art is passed down over generations, with each artist signing each and every model they paint - giving that extra personal touch and their ‘seal’ of approval.
In this case, many of the new models feature a two-tone base colourway, with the joining point of these colours used as the location for the pin-stripe, and sealed with a clear lacquer by their expert painters.
As mentioned, each model in the 2021 Bonneville range will have one Gold Line scheme available as an option. It’s not limited by number but instead by date, strictly available for one year only.

Pricing for the 900cc models are up +£600 versus the standard models, and the 1200cc models are up by +£800.
It’s a great opportunity to pick up a new model with even more life and character, and considering the model pricing remains not dissimilar to the standard models, I wouldn’t be surprised if near-future Triumph owners will be considering a Gold Line limited edition over the standard options.
In particular, the Scrambler 1200 XE Gold Line range looks exceptional in the Baja Orange & Silver Ice fuel combo, with special mention to the Carnival Red of the Bobber.
