Matchless Model X revealed

Revived British marque releases official shot ahead of EICMA

BRITISH marque Matchless has released another official picture of the Model X Reloaded, this time revealing the whole bike.

The picture is the fourth shot released by Matchless since they released official renderings of the bike last month, ‘under construction’ shots two weeks ago, and a close-up snap of the engine earlier this week.

Detailed specs are still thin on the ground, but we do know the Model X Reloaded has a six-speed gearbox and the 1916cc S&S V-twin lump is expected to make around 100hp and 116lbft of torque.

Braking is achieved using a single disc and 12-piston caliper setup at the front, and a six-piston caliper at the rear.

There are two sets of rider pegs with dual controls, allowing either feet-forward or a more sporty upright riding position.

Seat height is also adjustable from 740 to 800mm whilst the handlebars offer 250mm of height adjustment and can be rotated horizontally and vertically.

The frame, made of ‘multiple sheet metal’, also acts as an oil reservoir.

The Model X Reloaded will be unveiled at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan next week.
