Kawasaki ZX-25R pricing and online reservations open

The pricing and online reservation system for the new Kawasaki ZX-25R is now open – in New Zealand

Kawasaki ZX-25R

THE pricing for the new pocket-rocket from Kawasaki has been announced, with an online reservation system for lucky punters to reserve their bike.

Sadly, for fans of the 250cc four-pot screamer, the pricing and online reservation is only for New Zealand.

We do now though at least have a price for the bike, which is coming in at $15,990 NZD which translates to roughly £7k. Not bad for a bike which actually has no direct competitor in the sports bike class.

The bike though will not be stocked in New Zealand, instead, it will be imported based on the orders placed by the customers. Much like Kawasaki did when selling Ninja H2 Carbon, H2R, and other models to the far-flung island nation.

Could the Kawasaki ZX-25R come to the UK?

With no official news as to if the bike will reach the UK or not, Kawasaki currently says ‘no’ although we are taking that with a pinch of salt, the bike is actually designed for the Indonesian and Japanese markets. The pre-bookings in both of those countries were supposed to begin in March this year, although both were cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

With New Zealand now reporting that it is COVID-19 clear as a nation, it seems the NZ government has helped to give potential owners of the bike a leg-up as they will be the first to at least reserve one of the most exciting small capacity sports bikes of recent years.

If you have friends or family based in NZ, it might be time to drop them a phone call to ‘make sure they are okay’!
