First 1199 Panigale off the assembly line

New Ducati 1199 Panigale to be in showrooms by end the of March

YESTERDAY Ducati celebrated the first 1199 Panigale to come off the assembly line as production begins on the new superbike.

From the leaked images to the Panigale's unveiling at the EICMA show in Milan, the new Ducati has been one of the most anticipated bikes in recent years. To start the production machine at the factory in Bologna, Ducati celebrated in true Italian style, as all the employees were joined byPresident Gabriele Del Torchio, General Director Claudio Domenicali and Plant Director Silvano Fini.

The whole Ducati effort celebrated the new beginning by literally 'baptising' the very first bikes of the assembly line with sparkling wine.

The Ducati Panigale 1199 is expected to be in showroms by the end of March or early April, the base model will cost £14,995 - for the rest of the Panigale range pricing click here.

Ducati will launch the bike to the world's motorcycling press in February, and we will be on hand to give Visordown readers complete coverage.
