2018 Yamaha XT1200ZE Super Ténéré Raid Edition unveiled

YAMAHA’S adventure offensive is in full swing, and the latest model to break cover is the 2018 XT1200ZE Super Ténéré Raid Edition
Inspired by the development of the Ténéré 700 World Raid, this new model takes the established prowess of XT1200ZE Super Ténéré and adds a host of hardware to give a complete adventure offering.
As standard, the shaft-drive Super Ténéré is powered by Yamaha’s reliable and torquey 1199cc 2-cylinder engine, coupled with electronically adjustable suspension, unified braking – and advanced electronic control technology including TCS, Cruise Control and D-MODE.
In its Raid Edition guise, the model features two 37-litre aluminium side cases with techno polymer-reinforced corners, a wide skid plate, a high screen, wind deflectors and fog lamps.
Carbon side panels and Raid Edition graphics complete the look.
Yamaha has described the new model as: ‘Aimed at those long distance riders who want the highest specification motorcycle that's built to load up and go’, adding: ‘The Super Ténéré is the bike that professional long distance adventurers like Nick Sanders choose to ride.’
It will be available in Yamaha Blue with Raid Edition Graphics and Tech Black with Raid Edition Graphics from March 2018.
