WATCH: Graham Jarvis compares lifestyle with top racers of yesteryear

This is seriously worth a watch...

CROSS TRAINING ENDURO SKILLS is a must-follow YouTube page for any aspiring off-road rider.

Filled with tips, tricks and easily-digestible content, it’s little wonder the channel has almost 150,000 subscribers.

But it’s latest video – a feature-length documentary – has blown the rest out of the water.

Entitled ‘Checkpoints’, it delves into the careers of professional off-road riders Graham Jarvis and Colton Haaker, and compares their lifestyle to the top riders of yesteryear.

75-year-old Paul Rodden has 50 years of competition and trail riding under his belt, while Larry Murray, 65 is a former Can-Am and Husqvarna Enduro rider. For them, life on two wheels was low-budget and a fun weekend hobby. For 40-year-old Red Bull Hard Enduro champion Graham Jarvis and Maxxis FIM SuperEnduro champion Colton Haaker, 25, its their bread and butter.

Produced by Traction eRag, the excellent documentary asks questions such as ‘What are the first steps in becoming a professional rider?’, ‘What aspects of "normal life" do you have to give up in pursuing that goal?’ and ‘Can it always be fun?’.
