Michael Schumacher’s Honda Fireblade race bike has sold for a whopping €64,800 (around £56,390), nearly doubling the expected sale figure.

Race bikes linked to motorsport legends have regularly surfaced in auctions, just look at Casey Stoner’s exact 2007 MotoGP-title winning Ducati Desmosedici GP7, which sold for a staggering £402,500 in 2024.

And while this might not be a MotoGP bike, nor a machine ridden by a two-wheel legend, the name Michael Schumacher is just about as big as it gets in all forms of motorsport.

The German legend, who retired as a seven-time F1 champion, a number only Lewis Hamilton has managed to equal, used this stunning Honda Fireblade for test days and track days.

The bike was recently auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s, and was expected to fetch somewhere in the region of €25,000 (£21,750) to €35,000 (£30,450).

But instead, it went for nearly double that as part of the extensive auction, which included various Schumacher-inspired items. A pair of Alpinestars motorcycle boots were also listed, which sold for €1,500 (£1,300).

Included in the sale of the Schumacher Honda Fireblade was a pair of signed gloves and a signed Schuberth helmet.

Although the bike has not run in a long time, the bike is considered fairly new as it only has 6000 kilometres (roughly 3,730 miles) on the clock.
