Iconic Honda GL1800 Gold Wing Tour gets major colour overhaul for 2027
A year on from celebrating its 50th anniversary, the Honda GL1800 Gold Wing Tour is now available in three new colours for 2027.

Honda has revealed a new set of colours aboard its iconic GL1800 Gold Wing Tour, which acts as the company’s flagship luxury tourer.
As is the case with many models in the Honda range, all that has been done ahead of next year is said colour update, with the bike remaining unchanged mechanically and technically.
The 2027 GL1800 Gold Wing Tour will be available in Iridium Gray Metallic, Graphite Black, and Allumage Blue Metallic options.
The colour update comes off the back of several major changes to the luxury tourer over the years, although none were more extensive than in 2018.

In response to the evolving motorcycle market’s trends, both the GL1800 Gold Wing and Gold Wing Tour gained the option of Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) system.
This was joined by several new features, while the bike’s engine was completely redesigned. The power unit kept hold of its horizontally opposed flat six identity, however, it changed from two valves per cylinder to four. It was also made more compact and lighter.
Producing a claimed 124.7bhp at 5,500rpm and 125 Ib-ft of torque at 4,500rpm, the Gold Wing Tour is one of the heaviest motorcycles in the world at 374kg.
The Gold Wing Tour gained further changes in 2020, receiving standard-fit LED fog lights, larger pillion grab handles, and a revised suspension unit.
It comes with a total of four ride modes; Tour, Sport, Econ and Rain, and a Dual Combined Brake System (D-CBS), which alters depending on the mode selected.

Hill Start Assist (HSA), Idling Stop (on the DCT option), and Honda Selectable Torque Control are also part of the extensive equipment list.
While it’s the Tour edition that has gained the biggest colour update for 2027, the standard Gold Wing, first launched in 1975, benefits from a new Gunmetal Black Metallic option, with Mat Ballistic Black Metallic detailing.
